Ring in the New Year with a thrilling Fort Lauderdale Charter Fishing report!

As the weather cools down, the Sailfish are heating up the action. We’ve been reeling in multiple fish in a single day, with some impressive big Sailfish making an appearance alongside scattered mahi. Using kites with live bait has been the go-to technique for winter fishing in South Florida, and it’s been paying off big time. Trolling along the reef has also been productive, with Bonitas, Wahoos, and even a few kingfish making an appearance. Unfortunately, bottom fishing has been slow, and with the new year comes the closure of grouper season, meaning we’ll have to release all of our shallow water groupers for the next few months. Despite this setback, the offshore mahi-mahi fishing has been quiet, but the wind has pushed plenty of action inshore along the reef, including Blackfin tuna and wahoos. As for shark fishing, it’s been relatively quiet overall. But fear not, as we move deeper into winter, the fishing is only going to get better. We’re looking forward to some epic days out on the water. Book your charter now and join us for an unforgettable fishing adventure. or you can follow us on social media.
